Rebel Edge UK is the dream-turned-reality of Founder and Director, Rebecca Herbert. She describes Rebel Edge UK as her manifesto for rebellion. This is a passion project. Rebel Edge UK is a management consultancy company that delivers practical solutions tailored to the customer. From process improvement to cultural transformation, this is about embedding real change and finding solutions that stick around long after you stop working with us. We don’t offer magic beans or silver bullets.

Rebel Edge UK is about using the talents in the room. We don’t tell you the grass is greener somewhere else. We help you nourish the environment you already have so that your people can flourish. We help you align your values with your purpose. We offer high support and high challenge. All work and no play is not for us – so expect energy and fun.

Our motto is ‘it’s not kind to be nice’. We’ll be honest in calling out behaviours that are contrary to your values; we will help you slay the ‘horsemen of mediocrity’ and we’ll expect excellence. Meet Rebecca

Rebecca is the leader of the rebellion to do things differently. She describes herself as a hybrid between a bulldozer, 1940’s telephone operator and All-American cheerleader. She will cut through the barriers that get in the way, she will connect you with people and ideas that deliver your purpose and she will champion and support you every step of the way.

With two decades of experience working across the public sector, Rebecca learned a few things about service design, process improvement, customer service, operational delivery and cultural transformation. She knows the pitfalls and traps and she knows the secret ingredients that make change successful.

Let Rebecca help you create a culture where your people are engaged, motivated and feel valued for the work they do. Look after your people and they will look after the work.

Where she’s made a difference –

Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority – deliver regulation through service by developing the organisation-wide capabilities to manage tensions between service and regulation. Cut through the complexity and make it easy to do the right thing. Support the transition and develop mindset to deliver principles based regulation.

Cabinet Office Civil Service Modernisation and Reform – provide support and challenge to the leadership team in developing their theory of change. There is a place for PMO in managing chnage – but you can’t project plan culture.

Independent Office for Police Conduct – embed new values and service mindset and set the foundations for building change and continual improvement capabilities. Developed the capabilities to deliver complex and scaled investigations (Directorate Major Investigations).

Who’s the leader of the rebellion?

Utilising organisation design and development alongside process improvement methodology, Rebecca supports organisations to build the capabilities to work with complexity and rise to whatever challenge comes their way.

She has a track record of turning artificially sweet cultures into healthy, resilient, fun workplaces with the right skills and behaviours. She helps overwhelmed leaders navigate complex landscapes and cut through the noise to help they and their teams identify their quality measures and organise in the most effective way to deliver results.

Rebecca gets under the skin of problems and help people confront blockers to change – through personal development, building resilience, mental toughness and cultivating habits of professional curiousity.
