Manifesto for Rebellion
The rebellion is not about anarchy. It’s a recipe book for change. We are Team GSD – getting $h!T done. Rebels are ruthlessly committed to delivering results. We are passionate about purpose. We care deeply about people. And we are absolutely sick of time wasting! We hate being part of an industry of bureaucracy. We rebel against the ‘we’ve always done it this way’ status quo. We are sickened by waste. We need to make a difference. It gets us out of bed in the morning. We’re not being rude, but, get on board or get out of our way.
Our ‘manifesto’ is our code –
Align values with purpose
How you think affects how you act. What is the work you are here to do?
Rules are the enemy of accountability
For every rule, there is an exception to the rule. Rules are made to be challenged. Being accountable requires us to do more than follow rules. Because you can doesn’t mean you should.
It’s not kind to be nice
The saccharine culture is the enemy of high performing teams. Let’s make space for honest, candid conversations where kindness rules over ‘nice’.
Triumph over mediocrity
Time to slay the horsemen of mediocrity.
Value difference, because you are U-nique.
There is only one you. The strength of an organisation is in its ability to harness difference. Know what sets you apart from the crowd and let your U-nique talents shine.
Do you trust me?
Is trust earned or is trust given? Trust is the single most important metric in culture.
Stay with pride or leave with dignity
The power of choice. Whether it’s a personal or work relationship, be conscious in the choice you make. Don’t abscond or let yourself be a passive bystander in your own life. If you choose to stay, then stay with pride. If you choose to leave, then leave with dignity.
